Krafty Kidz was started by Sarah and Cath in late 2016 after they struggled to find suitable art and craft classes to take their two daughters to. The local market was saturated with music, dance and sensory activities for little ones but there were few creative classes that gave children the artistic freedom, variety and stimulation that Sarah and Cath knew was essential to their daughters’ development.
Mark making, feeling and using different materials, messy play and engagement with other children are all critical ingredients to support children’s’ growth. Sarah and Cath wanted to tailor each session to provide a wide range of stimulations for all age groups and so each event provides little ones with the right mix of activities suitable for their ability level for the right amount of time so they are able to stay engaged and don’t become overwhelmed.
The business has gone from strength to strength thanks to Sarah and Cath’s determination to improve the lives of children in the community. As Sarah explains, “Krafty Kidz is a far cry from my previous career but we both knew we needed to make a difference in the lives of families in the local area by providing this much needed art and craft experience”.
The krafty pair also now run sessions for schools and other organisations in the community as well as corporate events and children’s birthday parties. To stay in touch sign up for the Krafty Kidz regular newsletters using the right hand panel or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
